You're never too young, or too old
You’re never too young, or too old.
Over this month, I'm sharing 20 insights in 20 minutes from my 20 years in business.
This insight is about saying that you are never too young or too old, for that matter, to start a business or to do something new.
When I started my business back in 2004, I was in my late 20s and, at that time, I was single, had no kids and no mortgage. So it was actually a perfect opportunity to take a risk, because it is a risk to start out in a new venture.
At that time of my life, I thought, well, if this doesn't work out, I can always go and get a job. But up till now, 20 years later, I haven't ever gone back to that option.
So when people do ask me about how they start out and they're trying to toss up that decision as to whether they should they go out on their own, for example, and leave their existing job, those are some of the factors that you have to weigh up.
What are my other commitments?
Who else am I going to impact?
But age isn't really a factor in that.
So you're not too young and you're not too old.
Don't let age stop you. If it's something that you really want to do.
